HOPE Toledo to be Highlighted on 60 Minutes on Sunday May 22nd

Universal pre-K only became a reality in Toledo last year. But with more money, it's able to expand and double the number of kids they serve.

Inside Higher Ed, published an important article, "All in the Family: Multigenerational Admissions Policies and Scholarships Grow."

Prominently featured in the article were Rev. John C. Jones, president and CEO of HOPE Toledo as well as HOPE Promise Scholars: Rodney and Rayvon Braziel, who are father and son.

TOLEDO, OH, May 2, 2022 - HOPE Toledo announced today it plans to add 14 new HOPE Toledo Pre-K Affiliate Providers, potentially more than doubling its provider network, to meet the growing need for high-quality pre-K in our community. The overall goal of HOPE Toledo Pre-K is to ensure kindergarten readiness and subsequent successful school performance for all of Toledo’s children.

HOPE Toledo is waiting for much of its pledged $20 million investment to increase children’s access to pre-kindergarten education, but that hasn’t stopped the nonprofit from moving forward with expansion plans.

TOLEDO, Ohio — For the upcoming academic year, Hope Toledo is looking to receive local funding from the American Rescue Plan to make preschool education more accessible.
