Dr. Mary Kay Irwin is the Senior Director of School Health Services at Nationwide Children’s Hospital and an Adjunct Faculty Member in the Department of Pediatrics at The Ohio State University. She leads the development, implementation, and evaluation of school and community health services provided by the hospital.
Dr. Irwin’s research and expertise focus on the intersection of health and education, with an emphasis on eliminating health-related barriers to learning for children and adolescents—particularly those with chronic conditions or experiencing health inequities.
With a strong focus on population health management, she actively participates in local, state, and national collaboratives to shape interventions, policies, funding, and research aimed at reducing health disparities and improving healthcare outcomes for communities.
