Allison Schlagheck is a Preschool Teacher Mentor in the Early Childhood Department at Toledo Public Schools, where she has dedicated the past 25 years to supporting educators and young learners. Throughout her career, she has served as a Teacher Mentor, Intern Consultant, Early Intervention Specialist, and Early Childhood Classroom Teacher.
She currently serves on the Ohio Educator Standards Board, bringing an early childhood perspective to statewide discussions on professional learning and teaching standards.
Allison holds an Educational Specialist Degree in Early Childhood Special Education from the University of Toledo and is a National Board Certified Early Childhood Educator. A lifelong learner, she is passionate about fostering development in young children and mentoring educators in the field of early childhood education.
As a member of the Toledo Federation of Teachers, Allison has contributed to curriculum development and revisions with the American Federation of Teachers, focusing on literacy skills for all students. She has also provided local teacher training on meeting the diverse needs of students.
