At HOPE Toledo Pre-K, we believe every Toledo child deserves the chance to enter kindergarten with the knowledge, skills and social competence they need to succeed… today and tomorrow.
Our Mission
Hope. By definition, it’s a feeling of expectation and desire for certain things to happen. But hope is so much more than just a word. Hope is the anticipation of a brighter tomorrow. Hope is what you feel when you are valued and invested in.
At HOPE Toledo, it is our core belief that education is the pathway out of systemic and generational poverty and leads to economic stability for families and communities. Through a comprehensive, inclusive, cradle-to-career education initiative, HOPE Toledo aims to be the catalyst that moves Toledo forward toward a brighter tomorrow for all of our youth and for our city and region as a whole.
Our mission is to support and ensure high-quality education, from preschool to postsecondary and trade school, for every young person in the city of Toledo, to create generational economic change for the betterment of our families and community.
The HOPE Toledo Pre-K Initiative
HOPE Toledo Pre-K is an inclusive, comprehensive, education initiative to move our Toledo communities and region forward.
The HOPE Toledo Promise
Less than 1/2 of Toledo's children are enrolling in postsecondary education. While high-quality early education is foundational to a child’s academic success, we also know that Toledo’s youth need support at every step of their educational journey and beyond.
HOPE Toledo names Rev. John Jones president
The Rev. John Jones has known first-hand what a difference in life that access to quality education makes, and as president of a new nonprofit, he is determined to improve such access for Toledo children.
